i just recently decided to make a background for my 150 gallon aquarium. I much prefer this method over styrofoam and cement as it has had no ill effects on my water perameters. It tok me two weeks with an hour each night to complete this project. Love your tree stump and expanded on it in my design. Hope i can upload some pictures someday for others to see

I think you have made a fantastic DIY background I really do think this is just brilliant and exactly what I am going to give a go for my 100 gal discus set-up. I was going to use cement but after seeing what you have done and how accessible it will be to use fibreglass Ive decided thats the way forward! Thanks for sharing this.

Hi i love the build and i love the idea – i am going to try to attempt at making one but i am worried about any chemicals that this may let off in my water and kill my fish – did you use any special brands to insure this didnt happen? Thanks
